UM, SO WHEREAS COUNCIL MEMBER AARON ALLEN HAS FAITHFULLY AND HONORABLY SERVED TWO TERMS AS AN AT LARGE MEMBER OF AUBREY CITY COUNCIL FROM MAY 11TH, 2021 TO MAY 22ND, 2025, RENDERING EXEMPLARY AND DEDICATED SERVICES TO THE CITIZENS OF AUBREY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AND COUNCIL MEMBER ALLEN HAS CONSISTENTLY BROUGHT WISDOM, PROFESSIONALISM, AND SOUND JUDGMENT TO HER ROLE, CONTRIBUTING MEANINGFUL MEANINGFULLY TO THE GOVERNANCE AND BETTERMENT OF THE CITY OF AERY.

VETERANS PARK, OF COURSE, IS NOT A, UH, RESIDENTIAL LOT, BUT I FIND IT SOMEWHAT HYPOCRITICAL THAT THE CITY WANTS TO PROPOSE A $2,000 FINE FOR RESIDENTS FOR THINGS THAT IT DOES IN THE ROUTINE COURSE OF ITS BUSINESS.

UM, I THINK THE CONCERN ABOUT SNAKES AND RODENTS IS OVERBLOWN.

AS I SAID, I'VE LIVED THERE FOR 25 YEARS WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE DOING OPEN STORAGE.

UH, SO NEARLY EVERYTHING'S COMPLETE.

UH, WE'RE WRAPPING UP JUST A FEW THINGS.

UH, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF DELAYS IN PLACE RIGHT NOW.

UH, MUSTANG WON'T RELEASE OUR WATER METERS UNTIL THERE'S A, A MANHOLE, UH, THAT NEEDED TO BE RAISED UNTIL THAT'S COMPLETED.

SO UNTIL THAT CAN BE COMPLETED AND INSPECTED, THEY WON'T RELEASE OUR WATER METERS TO THE SITE.

AND SO THE LANDSCAPING CAN'T, THE SOD CAN'T BE PUT IN BECAUSE WE CAN'T ENSURE THAT WE CAN WATER IT.

UH, WE CAN'T TEST ANY OF THE PLUMBING IN THE BUILDING.

SO THAT'S GOT US WITH A, A SETBACK.

UM, WE ARE MAKING SOME CHANGES TO THE FLOOR IN THE, THE BAY AREA.

THE STAIN IS ALREADY STARTING TO HAVE SOME ISSUES.

SO BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER WITH THAT, WE'RE GONNA CORRECT THAT.

UH, BUT WE STILL ANTICIPATE STARTING THE, UH, PUNCH LIST WALKTHROUGH NEXT WEEK.

AND WE LOOK TO BE IN THE BUILDING IN LATE MAY, EARLY JUNE.

UH, WE'VE GOT FURNITURE COMING MID-MAY.

UH, A LOT OF THE THINGS THAT WERE ORDERED TO JUST OPEN, NOT NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION, BUT FOR US TO LIVE THERE OR ON THEIR WAY.

OUR RETAINING WALL IS KIND OF BELOW AND BEHIND THE WALL THAT SEPARATES US FROM THE HOMES ON ASLAN CIRCLE.

AND WE NEEDED THAT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT SO THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY EROSION PROBLEMS UNDERNEATH THAT OTHER FENCE.

AND SO NOW THAT THAT'S COMPLETE, UH, THAT'S A, A BIG STEP THAT WAS HOLDING US UP FOR THE POURING OF THE PARKING AREAS.

SO, UH, IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS YOU'LL SEE CONCRETE PORES TO CREATE THOSE, UH, PARKING AREAS.

THERE'S ONE TO THE EAST AND TO THE WEST OF THE BUILDING.

AND THEN OF COURSE, THE APRONS IN THE FRONT

AND THE ROOF IS BEGINNING TO GO ON.

SO NEXT WEEK THEY'LL START TO, UH, OR THEY NOT START, THEY'LL FINISH UP THE ROOF AND THE BUILDING WILL BE IN THE DRY, UH, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL ROUGH IN ON THE FIRST FLOOR IS COMPLETE.

SO EVERYTHING IN WALL AND UNDERGROUND IS DONE.

UH, AND THEN THEY'RE, THEY'RE NEARING THAT POINT.

ON THE UPSTAIRS, UH, THE FRAMERS WERE THERE TODAY, UH, WORKING UPSTAIRS FOR A LITTLE BIT BEFORE THE RAIN.

UM, AND THAT'S WHAT BOTH OF THESE ITEMS ARE FOR THE RESOLUTION AND THE ORDINANCE.
